1voteA: K-Y Jelly was originally developed in 1904 as a surgical lubricant and is still widely used in medical settings for examinations, catheter insertion, and medical device lubrication. The consumer version sold here uses the same core water-based formula. It is manufactured in England by Reckitt Benckiser and has been the number one doctor-recommended personal lubricant brand for decades.Posted by on Wednesday, November 12, 2025

1voteA: K-Y Jelly is water-based and compatible with natural rubber latex condoms. Reckitt Benckiser specifically tests and labels it for latex compatibility. While water-based lubricants are generally safe with polyurethane and polyisoprene condoms, K-Y's official labeling only references latex. It should not be used with lambskin/natural membrane condoms if STI protection is needed (that is a condom limitation, not a lubricant one).Posted by on Sunday, October 5, 2025
